\n\tWhat can I expect on the day of the check-up?<\/button>\n\t\n

On the day of the check-up, your heart will be checked for health and performance. After the check-up, you will receive a medical assessment of your current heart health and, if necessary, initial therapy steps can be initiated. Early detection and individual treatment help to strengthen the heart and prevent potential deterioration.<\/p>\n

If the examination is without findings, you can be assured that your heart is in good health.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

\n\tHow long will it take?<\/button>\n\t\n

The complete consultation takes about 2- 2.5 hours.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

\n\tHow long does it take for the results to reach the doctor?<\/button>\n\t\n

The medical reports are processed promptly and will reach your GP after approximately one week.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

\n\tWill the costs be covered by my health insurance?<\/button>\n\t\n

The examination costs for the cardiac follow-up consultation will be invoiced to you or your health insurance company by the hospital. If you have a high deductible rate, you may incur additional costs. The short study part is of course free of charge.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

\n\tDo I have to bring special clothes?<\/button>\n\t\n

If you would like to take the cardiovascular stress test (spiroergometry), it is recommended that you wear sports shoes and loose clothing.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

\n\tCan I also perform the cardiovascular stress test with a prosthetic leg?<\/button>\n\t\n

If it is possible for you to cycle under load with the leg prosthesis, it is also possible to complete the test with a leg prosthesis.<\/p>\n

However, if there is the slightest risk of mechanical overload, we recommend that you do not take this test.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n

\n\tWho can I contact for a survivor follow-up?<\/button>\n\t\n

To date, there is no nationwide offer for individual aftercare in Switzerland. In some Swiss hospitals, the Passport for Care consultation is offered, a personalised aftercare recommendation for survivors.<\/p>\n

At the Inselspital Bern and the Cantonal Hospital Luzern, we work closely with their specialists and try to combine these consultations with the cardiac aftercare consultation whenever possible.<\/p>\n
